| Title: My Perfect Outdoor Day in Cocoa Beach | |
| Category: Outdoor | Author: Gail |
Where to Eat... |
|
Breakfast |
Starbucks in the Four Points Sheraton - grab some scones and coffee and head to the beach just 1 block away |
Lunch |
Head to Publix - right across the street form Durango - get a great sub sandwich made while you wait - get something to drink and head back to the beach |
Dinner |
Durango Steak House - dinner is great - but save room for the Chocolate Overload to have on the beach for sunset |
What to Do... |
|
Morning |
Sunrise on the beach. Be sure to take your coffee and get out there before the sun rises. Shelling is usually pretty good. Be sure to watch the surfers and talk to all of the fishermen set up along the beach. |
Afternoon |
Head over to to marina area. There are party boats and individual captains that will take you out fishing for half day. Be sure to schedule in advance. Not interested in fishing - then Atlantic Seafood has loads of fresh local seafood that you can fix for dinner one night. And don't like that head to Kennedy Space Center and the Astronaut Hall of Fame. Talk about history and life changing times for us all. |
Evening |
On the beach - look north and look for the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse. It is the only lighthouse owned by the US Air Force. |
Late Night |

Comments |
Cocoa Beach is magic and has so much history. I love watching the shuttle take off and land. We always find great hotel rates, and if staying longer places like The Royal mansions rent for the week with full kitchens. |
